About the Event

Japture, in collaboration with Shivalik College of Engineering, Dehradun, and hosted by the Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, successfully conducted the Career Launchpad Program, a live online workshop aimed at preparing students for job and internship opportunities.

The workshop focused on developing career readiness through practical guidance on resume optimization, LinkedIn branding, job search strategies, and interview preparation. Additionally, the session helped participants understand industry expectations and common hiring practices.

Event Highlights

The workshop delivered structured and actionable guidance to support early-career development. To begin with, the session covered resume optimization aligned with applicant tracking systems, highlighting effective keyword usage, impact-based bullet points, and common mistakes to avoid.

Furthermore, participants learned smart job search strategies, including identifying hidden opportunities and approaching recruiters professionally. The session also focused on LinkedIn branding, explaining how profile optimization and networking strategies improve recruiter visibility.

In addition, interview preparation formed a key component of the workshop. Participants learned how to confidently introduce themselves, structure responses using proven frameworks, and handle common interview questions. Throughout the session, real-world examples, templates, and practical tips ensured hands-on learning.

Resource Person

The session was led by Roshan Singh, Founder of Japture, a career mentor with extensive experience in guiding students and early-career professionals. Drawing from his industry exposure and mentoring background, he shared practical strategies for resumes, LinkedIn optimization, job search planning, and interview success. His interactive approach and real-world examples helped participants clearly understand what employers look for during the hiring process.

Participation Details

Students from Shivalik College of Engineering and learners from other academic backgrounds actively participated in the workshop. Participants engaged through live discussions, questions, and interactive segments. As a result, the session maintained strong engagement and meaningful interaction throughout.
